Come and join your friends and neighbours as we tidy up our beautiful community garden at Ashdown Park (top of the Zig Zag staircase at Keith Road and Cortell Street).

We’ll also be planting the daffodil bulbs generously donated by the District of North Vancouver!

  • Bring your own gloves and garden tool
  • Kids can earn service hours

2019 Canada Day Parade & Picnic

Saturday July 1st, 11:00 AM- 3:30 PM

The annual Pemberton Heights Canada Day Parade and Picnic is July 1st at Sowden Park in Pemberton Heights, and we’re planning for another memorable event! This is a hugely popular annual community celebration, with friends, family and neighbours from Pemberton Heights and beyond in attendance. Residents and non-residents alike are welcome, so please bring your family, friends and neighbours to celebrate Canada’s birthday.

Schedule of Events

11:00 AM : Parade Starts
The parade leaves from the Pemberton Heights Community Hall (old United Church) heading for Sowden Park. Everyone is welcome to join, so please wear your best red and white and your running shoes, and decorate your bike, scooter, skateboard or trike.

11:30 AM: Picnic at Sowden Park
Bring your own picnic or buy your lunch at the park! All profits from the BBQ and concession go back to the Pemberton Heights community.
Please be environmentally responsible. Pick up your litter and minimize plastic waste by bringing your own refillable water bottle. There are free fresh water refill taps available at the park.

12:00 PM: Races Start
Races start with an Oh Canada sing-along. Enjoy sack races, tug-of-war, wheelbarrow races and other fun for all ages!

1:30-3:30 PM: Canada Day Fun
Bouncy castles, dunk tank, BBQ, face painting, snow cones and some great socializing with friends and neighbours.

Pemberton Heights Annual Garage Sale

Do you have a house, garage or shed overflowing with stuff that you no longer need or use? Want to make room, reduce, recycle and reuse?

It’s time so say goodbye to the things that no longer spark joy!

The Pemberton Heights annual garage sale is happening on May 26th from 10am-2pm. Participating households will be listed on the sale map so bargain hunters can plan their shopping tour!

Ashdown Park Community Garden Cleanup

Saturday May 4th, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Come and join your friends and neighbours as we weed, plant and tidy up our beautiful community garden at Ashdown Park (top of the Zig Zag staircase at Keith Road and Cortell Street).

We’ll be putting down mulch and wood chips on the beds and paths as well as weeding, planting and general cleanup.

  • Bring your own gloves and garden tools
  • Donated plants are welcome

Meet Your Mayor and Council

Thursday April 11, 7:00 PM
Corner Stone Bistro, Pemberton Heights

Come to the Corner Stone Bistro for a meet & greet with the District of North Vancouver’s new Mayor and council!

Mayor Mike Little and DNV councillors Mathew Bond, Betty Forbes, Jordan Back, Lisa Muri, Megan Curren and Jim Hanson will be attending this neighbourhood event to meet the residents of Pemberton Heights.

Light refreshments and a complimentary beverage will be provided. Local artist Manon Garritsen will be on site and her prints of Pemberton Heights will be available for viewing and purchase.
